ACCELERATOR CODE OF CONDUCT

Oxagon represents the industrial city reimagined. It is a radical new model for future manufacturing centers, based on NEOM’s philosophy of redefining the way humanity lives and works in the future. Oxagon is a catalyst for advanced transformational industries, with state-of-the-art approaches to Industry 4.0 and circular economy.

As we are committed to creating a safe, harassment-free environment for everyone, all Participants are required to uphold this Code of Conduct during the Accelerator and while using the Platform.

We have five other legal documents that set out our key terms:

  1. Accelerator Terms, which set out the terms and conditions on which you may participate in the Accelerator. The Accelerator Terms will be provided to you during the application process;
  2. NEOM’s Terms of Use, which set out the terms and conditions on which you may access the Platform;
  3. Accelerator Privacy Notice, which sets out the personal information protection rules specific to the protection of the personal information of applicants of and Participants involved in the Accelerator;
  4. NEOM’s Privacy Policy, which sets out the general terms on which NEOM processes any personal information that NEOM collects from you or that you provide to Oxagon; and
  5. NEOM’s Cookie Policy, which explains when and how NEOM collects your cookies when you visit the Platform.

We want as many people and teams to apply to be involved in the Accelerator as possible. To make this an enjoyable experience for all, you (by virtue of your application to the Accelerator) agree and have agreed to conduct yourself in a professional and appropriate manner and to comply with this Code of Conduct which Oxagon may, at its sole and absolute discretion, issue and amend in the future, as well as the Accelerator Terms, the Terms of Use, the Accelerator Privacy Notice, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy mentioned above.

1. Definitions

In this Code of Conduct, the following definitions will have the following meanings:

  1. Accelerator: the Oxagon Accelerator is a series of educational trainings and entrepreneurial competitions, owned by Oxagon, powered by Brinc Accelerator and run in partnership with McLaren, in which Participants receive mentorship on a range of topics within supply chain & logistics, along with tailored guidance and training for their business model and product offering.
  2. NEOM: NEOM Company (a company incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia commercial registration number 1010504644 and having its registered address at the Information Technology and Communications Complex (ITCC), 2nd Floor Building IN-01, Al Nakheel District 12382, Riyadh, P.O. Box 10, Riyadh 11411, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
  3. Oxagon: Oxagon Company (a NEOM Company which is a single-shareholder limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the KSA with commercial registration number 3555101955 and having its registered address at Duba, Tabuk Province, KSA.
  4. Participant: any team or company that is registered as a participant in the Accelerator, and any individual forming part of such team or company. Any reference to "you" and "your" shall include the same meaning.
  5. Platform: the webpages on www.neom.com that are dedicated to the Accelerator.

2. Creating a safe and positive environment

  1. The Accelerator is dedicated to providing a safe and respectful and harassment free experience for everyone, regardless of: (i) sex; (ii) gender identity and expression; (iii) age; (iv) disability; (v) race; (vi) ethnicity; (vii) physical appearance; (viii) body size; (ix) nationality; (x) religion; (xi) lack of computing experience, chosen programming language or knowledge of technology stacks; or (xii) otherwise.
  2. We do not tolerate harassment of any kind of any Participant. We categorically reject sexual language and images being use anywhere in connection with the Accelerator, whether in person or through online channels, and this includes but is not limited to in relation to: (i) Participants, organisers and anyone who will be involved in or with the Accelerator; (ii) conversations, presentations or demos; (iii) workshops; (iv) presented ideas and projects; (v) any social event associated with the Accelerator; (vi) social media; or (vii) any other online media.
  3. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, or religion, sexual images in public, intentional intimidation, stalking, following, photography or audio/recording video without reasonable consent, publishing other Participants’ private information (such as a physical or electronic address) without explicit permission, constant disruption to conversations or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwanted sexual interest. Photography and videography are encouraged throughout the Accelerator, but other Participants must be given a reasonable opportunity to opt out. If any Participant objects to having their photo taken or image recorded, other Participants must comply with their request. It is inappropriate to take pictures or videos in contexts where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy (such as in bathrooms or where Participants are asleep).
  4. Community is hugely important to our values. Oxagon requires all Participants to help create a safe and positive environment for all. Examples of behaviour that contributes to creating a positive environment include: (i) using welcoming and inclusive language; (ii) being respectful of different perspectives and opinions; (iii) gracefully accepting any constructive feedback; and (iv) showing empathy towards other Participants.

3. Your role

  1. We expect Participants to follow this Code of Conduct in any online channels and venues for workshops and social events related to the Accelerator. Participants who have been asked are expected to stop any non-compliant, harassing behaviour immediately.
  2. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact Oxagon immediately at oxagon.innovation@neom.com.

4. Oxagon’s role

Oxagon is responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behaviour and are expected to take appropriate action against any unacceptable behaviour. This action could include warning the offending Participant, removing them from the Accelerator, or reporting their behaviour to local law enforcement. NEOM also reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse admittance to Oxagon if a person is against or behaves inconsistently with our Code of Conduct.
